Scheduled Workshops

The Silva Forest Foundation holds three to five day workshops at our secluded school facility in the forests of the West Kootenay region near Salmo, in southeastern British Columbia. Workshops are scheduled between June and mid-September.

Silva has previously offered these workshops:

  • Ecosystem-based Conservation Planning
  • Eco-cultural Restoration
  • Ecologically Responsible Forest Use at the Stand Level (3 modules)
  • Practical Forest Hydrology
  • Forest Diseases and Insects
  • Forest Certification
  • Ecological Economics

The workshop schedule for 2004 is under development and will be posted as soon as it is available.
